We congratulate the Rev. Lyle McKenzie on his appointment to the position of Assistant to the National Bishop for Worship. Rev. McKenzie assumes this role in a part-time
capacity while maintaining his current call as pastor at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Victoria, BC. Within the Worship portfolio, Rev. McKenzie will have responsibilities related to the Program
Committee for Worship, the National Worship Conference, and Worship at National Convention along with liaison responsibilities with worship expressions of the ELCA, ACC, and Augsburg
Fortress. Rev. McKenzie began his new responsibilities January 15, 2010.

Lutherans Respond to Haiti Devastation with Compassion
Since issuing an emergency appeal for funds to assist with humanitarian aid to the people of Haiti, supporters of Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR), including the members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC), have graciously donated over $250,000 (as of January 27th, 2010).
